In partnership with Aura Fine Art Newcastle, Marriott Communications hosted and provided Public Relations services for the ‘King of Hearts’ charity fundraiser to highlight and celebrate the work of artist, King, and raise funds for Rainbow Migration, Crisis, and Freedom From Torture.
“King, a LGBTQIA+ refugee fled her homeland to avoid persecution and has since been living in the UK where she has been supported by Rainbow Migration, Crisis, and Freedom From Torture.”
For Aura Fine Art Newcastle, Marriott Communications was charged with overseeing the production and organisation of the King Of Hearts Charity Fundraiser; including: Key External Stakeholder Engagement, Press Engagement, Event Management and Production.
Key External Stakeholder Engagement
A core component of our support for this charity fundraiser was our ability to engage with, and manage, Key External Stakeholders.
Marriott Communications identified and cultivated key strategic relationships in order drive awareness of the event, corporate support of the event, and fiscal donations to our fundraiser.






Press Engagement
For the event, Marriott Communications secured local and regional press coverage to highlight the work of artist King, the work of the three charities, and to also raise the local profile of Aura Fine Art gallery based in Newcastle’s iconic Fenwick’s department store.
We ensured that press releases were distributed to key journalists, from which local and regional publications highlighted the social and political relevance of our charitable mission.
